Reflection

Redesigning ICP’s logo made me realize that identity design begins with understanding before form making. At first, I was focused on improving visual impact, but as the process continued, I found myself spending more time analyzing ICP’s positioning, tone, and audience relationship.

A successful redesign is not about imposing a new style, but about clarifying what already exists and strengthening its internal logic.

What is ICP ?

The International Center of Photography (ICP) is a leading institution in New York dedicated to photography and visual culture. Founded in 1974 by Cornell Capa, ICP combines a museum, a school, and public programs, creating a hub where photography is exhibited, studied, and used as a tool for social change.

Logo Design

Redesigning the logo became a way to rethink ICP’s positioning in a contemporary context. It provides ICP with a more flexible and expandable visual foundation for future communication.

Promotional Design

The ticket was designed not only for entry, but for memory. The left side holds essential information and a QR code for quick access, while the right side can be detached and kept as a commemorative card. The back records the visit date and time, and the image reflects the theme of each exhibition.
